Devine Inspirations
As part of the National Transgender Day of Visibility or maybe soon Month, The UUAA dedicated the service before Easter to celebrating trans people and sharing our stories. The music being sung was written by Dusty Francis and Allison Halerz.
This is a video made by Chris Anderson and Kevin Skye Werner, as a love letter to Rent and of course, the late great Jonathan Larson, who now is joined by godfather of musicals, Stephen Sondheim.
On April 20, in addition to getting high in the green ganja goodness, got high with a little help from my friends. My terrific trans brother took the video and the bald eagle I was looking up to but was not in the frame.
When I worked for CBS, Congregation Bene Shalom, around the time of her ordination a video was made to honor her as she transitioned from Cantor to Rabbi as the head of a wonderful congregation based in Skokie, IL.
